Sites to visit

There are many interesting historical and archaeological sites in the area, including ancient ruins from the Lycian, Greek and Roman eras, situated at Xanthos, Pinara, Patara, Sydima and Letoon, amongst others.

There are also some dramatic rock tombs in Fethiye (Tomb of Amyntas) and the rebuilt theatre overlooking the picturesque harbour of Fethiye.

The’Ghost Village’ of Kaya Koy, Saklikent Gorge, the 18km sandy beach at Patara and Butterfly Valley are popular destinations for visitors in the area.
